Community & Partnerships Specialist
Make Yonder matter in Amsterdam: build local partnerships, bring our community to life, and own the hands-on execution that turns both into member value and growth.
What’s Yonder?
Yonder is building the financial membership of the future — one that works for how people live now, not how their parents banked in the ’90s. No jargon. No dusty points system. Just rewards that actually feel rewarding, from dinner around the corner to the trip you’ve been planning.
We started in the UK, and the Netherlands is our first international market. We’re now preparing Yonder’s next phase in Amsterdam — growing our member base, strengthening the local proposition and becoming a brand people genuinely want to be part of.
Why this role matters in Amsterdam
Yonder won’t become relevant in Amsterdam from behind a laptop. We need a strong local community, the right restaurants and venues, and someone on the ground who can turn both into member value and growth.
We’re looking for a Community & Partnerships Specialist to make that happen.
Two things to know upfront: you’ll need to be comfortable building professional relationships in Dutch, and this is an in-person Amsterdam role — split between our city-centre office and time out with partners, members and communities.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You won’t manage a team. You’ll build local relationships, create and run community moments, and own the details that turn good conversations and ideas into something real.
After a short ramp-up, you’ll own the day-to-day community and partnerships operation in Amsterdam, including straightforward commercial decisions.
The Netherlands Market Lead will retain the overall market strategy, investment priorities and more complex or non-standard partnerships. Our UK Partnerships team will share its expertise and playbooks, but day-to-day ownership will sit with you locally.
What you’ll do
You’ll be one of the first people building Yonder on the ground in the Netherlands. You’ll be:
Bringing the Yonder community to life. You’ll plan and run prospective-member sessions, member events and partner gatherings — from deciding who should be there through to invitations, delivery and follow-up.
Building the right local partnerships. Within the market priorities agreed with the Netherlands Market Lead, you’ll find, assess and prioritise restaurants, bars, hospitality groups and local brands that feel right for Yonder members, then build genuine relationships with the people behind them.
Turning relationships into something useful. You’ll understand what matters to each partner, exercise sound commercial judgement and agree straightforward collaborations — from member benefits and activations to referral flows. You’ll bring in the Netherlands Market Lead when a partnership is more complex or falls outside the agreed parameters.
Owning the day-to-day engine. You’ll keep the community calendar and partner pipeline moving, coordinating outreach, setup, logistics, delivery and follow-up without needing someone else to chase every step.
Learning what works. Events aren’t valuable just because people showed up. You’ll look at what each activity created ; member value, acquisition, usage or useful learning. You’ll use that evidence to improve day-to-day execution, decide what to repeat, change or stop, and make recommendations for the wider Netherlands plan.
Working across Yonder. You’ll work closely with the Netherlands Market Lead and UK Partnerships team, bringing useful feedback from Amsterdam into the wider business.
You’ll be expected to get moving quickly and own your first local event or activation end-to-end during your first month.
You’re a great fit if
✅ You’ll probably have around 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hospitality, events, brand activations, community or partnerships, ideally involving venues, external partners and recurring programmes. What matters most is the level of ownership you’ve had, not the exact number of years.
✅ You’ve owned recurring activity end-to-end. You can keep a community programme or partner pipeline moving consistently while taking individual events, activations or collaborations from the first conversation through to delivery and follow-up.
✅ You build relationships and turn them into something real. You enjoy meeting new people, understanding what matters to them and creating a partnership, activation, referral flow or member benefit — rather than networking for its own sake.
✅ You know Amsterdam well enough to make informed choices. You can explain which venues, operators and communities could be relevant for Yonder and why, without simply listing the most popular names.
✅ You’re resourceful, organised and reliable. When something is unclear or blocked, you work out a sensible next move, keep momentum and close the loop. You also know when a decision needs support.
✅ You’re comfortable building professional relationships in Dutch and working fluently in English with the wider Yonder team.
You don’t need a previous Partnerships title, fintech experience, a university degree or a ready-made Amsterdam contact list. We care more about what you’ve personally made happen than how polished your CV looks.
You won’t be a great fit if
👎 You’re looking for a primarily strategic partnerships role, an established portfolio or a team to manage. This is an individual contributor role built around doing the work on the ground.
👎 You enjoy the social side of events and networking, but not the organisation and follow-through behind them. The details are what turn a good evening into something useful.
👎 You prefer waiting for a detailed playbook or the next task. You’ll have support, but we need someone who can propose a sensible next move and get things going.
👎 You want a fully remote role. You’ll spend plenty of time out in Amsterdam, but regular time together in our city-centre office is an important part of how we work.
What’s it like working at Yonder?
🏢 We work together in person — and often out in Amsterdam
This role will take you across Amsterdam to meet partners, members and communities. But it isn’t a remote role: spending regular time together in person is how we share context, make decisions quickly and build the market as one team.
Our Amsterdam office is on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, right in the city centre. We expect you to work from the office at least 3 mornings per week, with flexibility around partner meetings, events and occasional evening or weekend commitments.
🤍 We take a values-led approach
Our principles are incredibly important to us, so we recommend checking out Our DNA.
📚 We take development seriously
We have a structured process for progression, with regular one-to-ones, clear feedback and time to reflect on what we’ve learned and achieved.
What’s in it for me?
This role is offered as a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.
Depending on your experience and what you can bring from day one, you’ll be looking at:
💰 €4.183 – €4.865 gross per month, including 8% holiday allowance (€50.194 – €58.380 annually)
📈 €32.529 – €48.901 stock option grant, so you'll own a piece of Yonder and share in the value you help create
Plus
✈️ 27 days holiday + public holidays
⛷️ Regular team-building trips and activities
🎓 €750 Learning & Development allowance
What’s the interview process like?
We take the candidate experience seriously, so we’ve made the process as transparent as possible. We’ll be responsive and won’t leave you wondering where you stand for weeks on end.
Here’s how it works:
Stage 1: Intro call — around 45 minutes. You’ll speak with the Netherlands Market Lead, Nicolas, to learn more about the role and tell us more about you. Part of this conversation will be in Dutch.
Stage 2: Job Fit interview — around 60 minutes. An independent interviewer will go deeper into what you have personally built, delivered and learned.
Stage 3: Practical / Case interview — around 60 minutes. You’ll discuss a realistic Amsterdam community and partnerships case with the Netherlands Market Lead. We’re testing your thinking and how you respond to questions — not presentation polish.
Stage 4: Values interview — around 60 minutes. Two other Yonder team members will run a separate conversation about how you work and how that connects with Our DNA.
Offer: If everyone’s happy, we’ll make you an offer to join us.
Other things to know
We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can expect specific feedback on our decision from Stage 2 onwards, and you can always ask for more.
We complete right-to-work, reference and relevant background checks before anyone joins Yonder.
The full process usually takes between 2–6 weeks.
🌈 We know diverse teams build better products. If you’re from an under-represented community, we’d especially love to hear from you.
👉 Don’t worry about ticking every box. If you meet those two essentials, can operate at this level and the role excites you, we want to hear from you.
